Geronimo, 10oz, 4.25”H x 3”W diameter. White Stoneware clay wheel thrown, glazed with Sepia glaze outside. Original photograph was decal transferred and fired to embed image into glaze. Kiln fired to vitrify the clay and glaze. Dishwasher and Microwave safe.
Geronimo, Indian name Goyathlay (“One Who Yawns”), born June 1829—died Feb. 17, 1909. Bedonkohe Apache leader, medicine man, and warrior of the Chiricahua Apache, who led his people’s defense of their homeland against the military might of Mexico and the United States.
