Princess Angeline or Kikisoblu was born in 1820, and was the daughter of Chief Seattle, leader of the Duwamish tribe, where Seattle, Washington derived its name. Her home was near Pike Street in Seattle and she was known for her basket weaving. She was best known for her stance against the forced removal of Native American from their homeland to small federal reservations.
